The Crew 9 mission was due to launch aboard a SpaceX Dragon on a Falcon 9 rocket from launch pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in August 2024 but the mission was delayed and the crew changed when NASA decided to free up seats aboard Dragon to return the Boeing Starliner crew to Earth.
